Okan Arikan
Okan is an assistant professor at University of Texas, Austin. He has always been interested in computer graphics, games, and special effects but his lack of artistic talent forced him to follow a technical career path. He always thought animation ought to be easier than spending agonizing hours putting keyframes only to create an animation abomination. That's why he started Animate Me to pursue easier and fun ways to create and animate.
Leslie Ikemoto
Like many kids, young Leslie wondered what her toys did when no one was looking, and whether it was cramped inside the TV if all the cartoon characters lived there. She started Animate Me with the dream of breathing life into these little worlds. Leslie grew up in Hawaii and went to Punahou (like Pres. Obama!), then got her BS and MS at Stanford, and her PhD from Berkeley in computer graphics.
